About The Project
Pixel BIM supported RAM Construction on the renovation and expansion of the White Rock Volkswagen dealership, including a new service drive-thru, expansion of the service bay area, and renovation and expansion of the showroom.
As part of the preconstruction QA process, our team delivered a coordination report comparing architectural and structural drawings to identify alignment discrepancies. One critical issue surfaced was the omission of structural Grid Line 6.1 from the architectural set – an inconsistency that, if left unresolved, could have introduced major layout and framing challenges during construction.
Using our overlay methodology, we clearly identified:

Mismatches in gridline placement between disciplines

Inconsistencies in the layout for the new workshop addition

Clear markups and callouts to accelerate resolution across consultant teams
By flagging these issues prior to construction, we helped RAM Construction avoid downstream errors, ensuring smoother execution and better alignment between design and build.
This coordination review is a strong example of how early-stage drawing audits can reduce RFIs, prevent rework, and enhance overall constructability—even on smaller, renovation-focused scopes.
