Featured Project
Nanak Foods
We were engaged by Orion Construction to work with Nanak Foods on their new food production facility and head office.
On this 300,000 sq ft facility, we provided coordination reports and clash detection services to help coordinate the drawings and prevent as many RFIs and change orders as possible during preconstruction.
We identified more than 150 issues in total and helped Nanak Foods to optimize the layout of their facility through dozens of revisions to the custom equipment being manufactured for the facility.
Typical Toronto Projects We Can Support
Wood-frame and mass timber mid-rises across Toronto and the 905 belt including Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham.
BIM and VDC are majorly beneficial on these projects, where tight ceiling spaces and dense MEP make clashes are almost guaranteed without coordination.
High-rise rental and condo towers in the downtown core and nodes like YongeâEglinton, Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, and Mississauga City Centre, where every clash risks schedule impacts on crane time, concrete trades, and glazing.
Municipal, healthcare, and school projects with fixed opening dates, where late RFIs or rework simply arenât an option.
Industrial and warehouse projects in Brampton, Milton, and throughout the GTA, where long mechanical runs, racking layouts, and loading dock clearances need to be coordinated early to avoid on-site rework.
Local Codes and Constraints We Consider
Ontario Building Code (OBC) and City of Toronto requirements for fire separations, exiting, and life-safety clearances.
Toronto Green Standard and high-performance envelope details that impact penetrations, parapets, and roof coordination.
The importance of tight envelope coordination in a climate with heavy snow, freezeâthaw cycles, and strong wind off Lake Ontario, where poorly planned penetrations or details can quickly turn into water-ingress and durability issues.
Transit, utility, and easement constraints, TTC tunnels, major buried services, and tight lot lines, that shape how foundations and underground parking are laid out and coordinated.

Clash Detection & BIM Coordination In Toronto
We can run full multi-trade clash detection for Toronto projects using Revit, Navisworks and Revizto. That means:
- Coordinated structural, architectural and MEP models
- Prioritized clash lists your team can actually action
- Fewer site RFIs, change orders and schedule delays
3D Modelling For Toronto Projects
We build clean, construction-focused Revit models at the right LOD for each project phase:
- LOD 100-200 early massing models
- LOD 300-350 coordination and clash models
- LOD 400-500 for fabrication or digital twins
That gives your Toronto team a single, reliable source of truth for clash detection, layout, and quantity checks, instead of a pile of disconnected drawings.
4D Scheduling And Simulations
We link your construction schedule to the BIM model so supers, PMs, and owners can see the build sequence over time.
4D views make it easy to:
- Spot sequencing conflicts and constrained zones
- Identify out-of-sequence work
- Communicate phasing and shutdownsÂ
Toronto's Frequently Asked Questions
What types of Toronto projects benefit most from BIM?
We’ve shown BIM can have huge benefits on projects of any size. On a Volkswagen Dealership Renovation, we saw incredible results as a result of our coordination.
But, for projects that benefit the most, projects where coordination is complex and risk is high will benefit the most. Office towers, multi-family residential, industrial facilities, healthcare projects, and schools I’ve worked on have all benefited massively from engaging BIM on the project.
When is the best time to bring Pixel BIM onto a Toronto project?
Ideally, earlier the better. Starting at your building permit set would have a huge impact on the project throughout the entire preconstruction cycle, setting up teams the best they could be for taking the project on site.
But, most commonly we are engaged at the IFT drawings through IFC to help coordinate the most critical drawing sets and models for the project.
What is the clash detection process?
The first step depends on if you have models from your consultants or trades or not.
If you do have models, great! We are good to go. If not, we can help with creating those models for you.
Then we take the models and complete a thorough clash detection process with them to identify all clashing elements on your project.
We then filter out false positives, group similar clashes, and produce an actionable report to take to your consulting team to address the coordination issues on your project during preconstruction, instead of on site.
Can you help if our Toronto consultants aren’t using BIM yet?
Absolutely, we do all the time.
Often projects don’t have any models, or only some. In those cases we can help you with 2D based coordination reports or build the models for you and then run clash detection, simulations, and 5D cost estimates with those models.
